Year Two

Well, here it is: two years later, I am still Mrs. Almeda.  Booyah.

Keeping with tradition, we presented each other with gifts of cotton to start off the day.  Yes, we got each other some fancy socks.  I received a few pairs of *super technology* socks that offer a greater amount of breathability.  They even fit.  Mr. Almeda received a few pairs of his own *super technology* socks with increased arch support and absorption properties.  I can't think of a better way to start our day.

Donning our new *super* socks, we packed up some lunch and headed out as a family to a park we hadn't yet visited.  Dupree Park in Woodstock is a must-go, ladies and gentlemen.

One of the first treasures we noticed at the park was the shaded, empty, and very clean picnic pavillion with an awesome view of the fish pond.

Once we finished our lunch, we thought we might invite the park residents to eat as well.  We started with the fish...who were apparently very hungry as they quickly devoured our first tub of soup crackers.

Our second tub of crackers went to the ducks and geese of the pond.

As we did not have three tubs of crackers, we then trekked over to the playground for some swinging and sliding.

Once we arrived back home, I spent the next two hours glamming up my hair for the now-proclaimed tradition of Benihana and a comedy with my dear husband.  Just before we needed to head out, my dear brother-in-law (soon to be married himself), came over to spend some quality time with Miss Fallon so that we could go out.

Having nearly licked our plates clean at Benihana, we then headed over to Aurora Cineplex to watch the new movie Horrible Bosses.  Both dinner and the movie received two thumbs up from each of us.  So far, that gives us a two-fer for good eats and laughs on our anniversary.

We arrived back home to a happy Fallon and a happy (but a little tired) Uncle Mike.

Happy Anniversary to us!
