Nana and Papa Kevin came to visit and spend time with us this weekend from Virginia. We are so blessed to be able to have family come and visit from out of town, and to have the wonderful space to accommodate them (with the exception of filling up the walls, our basement is done!!)
After church on Sunday, Fallon, Nana, and I headed to Tanglewood Farm to enjoy the beautiful weather and love us up some adorable miniture animals.
We started with pony rides. I'll admit, I was a little nervous about Fallon's reaction to riding the pony. Shouldn't have been. She now wants a pony of her very own.
After the pony rides, we moved to the sheep. Nana helped Fallon realize the sheep were nice and soft, and warmed her right up to being our little animal lover.
Next, we headed to the school house to hug up the baby goats.
They had miniature ponies. It's a really good thing they wouldn't fit in my car. We would have brought at least one of them home with us!
We had a brief encounter with the baby calf...until it charged poor little Fallon.
Once we wiped up the tears of shock and terror, and cleared the possibility of actual physical damage, we headed over to hang out with the bunny (who apparently had an affinity for shoes).

And turkeys (not so little, though)...
We found more sheep as we kept walking (this time with horns), so of course we had to pat their little heads.
Then we found more mini ponies (don't you think they could spare us one?)
We ended the day checking out the Jersey cows and mini buffalo (moo cows, according to Fallon).
Gotta say hi to the moo cows..."Hi, moo cows!"
And we need the best view (clearly, I am a very safety-conscious parent)...
But of course, they don't need to get too close!
All in all, we had a great time. I'm ready to get us a pony for Christmas. Maybe it will eat up the poison ivy in the yard for us?
